Be careful, remarks like that may start to make sense. Your point is well taken. We're just so new to this culture of being "offended."
See how easy it is to demand someone's resignation? After all, whoever wrote the headline thought about it in advance, knew the mute community would see it, and should have known better than to tie the ESPN/Rush flap to handicap. And the worst of it all is that the writer knew there was no way for the mute to "call him on it." Who will speak for the speechless?
I think it's time for a letter campaign to the AJC.
