After thorough and painstaking research of several hours at a home theatre and a couple of minutes at the library, the LAff Times has determined a couple of minutes before the California recall election that Arnold was most likely a Nazi death camp guard....

This story is amazing spin. The headline says that NBC poll shows support for recall softening and then goes on to report almost the same numbers that were being reported in three polls BEFORE the LA Times late hit on Thursday. Almost no change!

Support for recall softening

Support for the recall is softening in the wake of reports that Arnold Schwarzenegger groped women and his subsequent apology for having "behaved badly sometimes," according to a new statewide survey.
The Knight Ridder/NBC Poll finds that likely voters are leaning toward booting Gov. Gray Davis from office and replacing him with the Republican actor. But backing for the recall weakened during the four days of polling, Wednesday through Saturday.
"There is a significant number of people who are having second thoughts, taking another look," said pollster Stuart Elway. Nevertheless, he said, Davis has a lot of ground to make up in the final two days of the campaign if he wants to keep his job.
The reports about Schwarzenegger's behavior surfaced Thursday morning, after the first night of the survey. The poll found a momentary surge in opposition to the recall on Friday. But results from Saturday showed the numbers returning to the level found in the first two days.
However, by week's end, voters were less firmly rooted in their choices, with more recall backers moving from definite support to probable, and a growing number of undecided. Similarly, opposition to the recall also slipped.
The survey examined both recall questions voters will confront on Election Day: Whether to remove Davis from office and who should replace him if he is unseated. On the first question, 54 percent of likely voters said they would definitely or probably vote to support the recall, while 41 percent would definitely or probably oppose it.
On the second question, Schwarzenegger leads with 37 percent, followed by Democratic Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante, 29 percent; Republican state Sen. Tom McClintock, 15 percent; and Green Party candidate Peter Camejo, 3 percent.
The poll of 1,000 likely voters was conducted Wednesday through Saturday. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.2 percentage points.
