I always admired Keyes for his articulate conservative views and debating skill. I thought he "won" the Presidential debates he was in. Would have loved to see him rip Gore a new one in that format. I even enjoyed his MSNBC show. If Bush could speak like Keyes, our job would be alot easier. Unfortunately, Alan has a massive ego to go along with his intelligence.

Show me someone who doesn't in politics to at least some extent.

But sometimes confidence in the message can be taken for arrogance when it isn't.

I was sitting nearby in a couple of those debates, and I saw what Alan was doing when the camera wasn't on him. He was praying. That is a sign of humility.

I have met and talked with Alan Keyes at a local business owners association meeting and I was very impressed, if there was one thing that I think Alan Keyes does that hurts him is that he talks way too fast and comes off as a little hot headed. But one thing is for sure, Alan Keyes is a rock solid conservative with unquestionable principles, he just doesn't do to well in his delivery on camera
