"Prayers for our fighting forces, and for our country and President.
The demons have been on the attack in the forms of Kennedy and Joseph Wilson. We need our President to be free of these attacks, so he may concentrate on the enormous tasks of defending our country, and World Freedom. "
Thank you for your prayers for our fighting, forces and our country and President, DL. I had not thought specifically about your point about the attacks on our President. Thanks for the nudge. Joining you in prayer to protect this President.

Hey TOkie,
My last assignment was in McAlester, OK. Do you know it?
Wonderful people there at the plant, at DAC, in the community. Great churches.

To: Explorer89
Thank you for your post 31, Explorer. I dont view it as being selfish to want folks here to bump the thread, but rather as having enlightened self interest! In my opinion, those are quite different motivations!
I'm so sorry to hear of your brother John's terrible experience on the battlefield, and the loss of his friend and fellow soldier.
Of course, while I have no way of knowing whether the FR Prayer Warriors' prayers were protecting him, I can say with certitude that those prayers didnt hurt! I choose to believe that prayer and vigils held by loved ones do indeed, according to God's plan for each specific soul, make a huge difference in the amount of protection a soul has around him/her in times of danger.
May God bless you during your vigil for John. May He grant you rest and peace during that vigil.
Here is something that might help you go to sleep. I hold the belief that when we sleep, the Lord and His angels will sometimes allow us to join the angels in their work for our brothers and sisters here on earth. Before I go to sleep each night, I ask the Lord to let me be with them in their work with our troops.
I dont know if that fits in with your own belief system, but I just offer it as something that sometimes helps me sleep when I get anxious for our troops. I feel like, according to the Will of God, if I can tag along with the angels, then I can literally stand with our young people, and offer prayers on the spot, even though I may not remember that I did so when I wake up. I sometimes do wake up with the feeling that while I feel rested, I also feel that I've been busy! I have a strong feeling and belief that by asking to be with the angels at night, it fulfills the scriptural admonition, "Pray without ceasing!"

Thank you for your profound reply to Explorer89, in your post 32, MrConfettiMan. You have stated in a nutshell the mission that many of us here have for this thread!
God bless you both, MrCM and Explorer89, and all who are serving and holding vigil!
