That being said I am willing to bet my bottom dollar Rush is addicted to pain meds.

What facts do you have to back that up?

It has happened to many a good man

I've been taking Vicodin since Sunday for an extraordinarily painful injury--2 every 4 hours washed down with 2 (count 'em '2') beers... I don't like 'em--they just make me sleepy.

and when you have his means....

Oh ho! The green-eyed dragon of jealousy! That's what's driving most of this... What do you have to

Exactly! The man has shown to be pretty upright in the past, he will probably bring all to the surface, at the right time.

(snip) *Palm Beach County law enforcement sources have said that Limbaugh was not the target of their probe.*

They seem to be investigating the "housekeeper". If you lose, will you waltz bare-a$$ed down Broadway with a "Rush is Right" sign?

Better yet, through Greenwich Village without an escort?

"I have not heard this mentioned anywhere, but could he be covering for Marta? Any history there? "

Mike Walker of the NE said that Rush was scared to death of Marta finding out. That's why he did the drug buys at Denny's or gas stations.

What I don't understand is why Orlando Salinas isn't reporting it that way. These media folks - including Fox, unfortunately - are being very selective with their reports - I guess it's ALL about the ratings!! I've been very disappointed with Fox on this issue and Rush.

Sounds like you are getting a good buzz on.

Yeah right, pointing out that he has the means to support a massive drug habit is jealousy. What do you think of post 95?

Because I am tired of hearing everyone bash Rush.

Big, Gigantic, Godzilla sized DITTOS!!!!!

So many here have already convicted Rush because he did not come out today and say everything is a lie. In other words, because Rush is not working on their time schedule, he must be guilty! What simplistic, feeble minds.

The truth will come out and if everyone here has learned something in the past few years (or they should have) the truth many times is stranger than fiction and many times the truth is most unexpected.

Let's wait and see what happens.

Conservatives have had a few very dark months. Somewhere is the bottom of this historic swing, maybe we are in it right now, maybe it is coming in a few months. But one thing we must remember:

Things take time!!

Everyone, EVERYONE underestimated the libs yet again. Let us hope conservatives, especially the leadership has FINALLY learned you cannot be friends with these humans.

Man, I have to admit, I've seen some good stories about this but yours is the BEST! If you believe what you have written to be the truth then YOU must be taking as many pills as ole Rush.

Facts as we know them:

1) Rush has had hearing loss and surgery--it is reasonable to assume he was on strong pain meds after that.

2) The Pharmacy in his area is being investigated for blackmarketing pain pills.

3)The maid claims he 'bought 4600 pills in 47 days'.

4) The maids husband was busted for 'Identity Theft'.

5) Rush brags that he pays cash for all his medical needs.

6) There is an investigation, yet Rush has not yet been charged with anything.

Based on that, which of the two is more reasonable:

1) El Rushbo took 90 pills a day and remained a successful talk show host.

or

2) This maid was in on the scam and using Rush's identity and cash-based pharmacy account to obtain and sell pills above and beyond what Rush was legally getting?

Huh?

A couple of months ago when Rush was discussing the proposed changes to Medicare to include drug benefits for seniors, he stated that he does not have health insurance. He said something about paying his doctors out-of-pocket. I guess we can assume he also paid for his medications that way as well, with a direct account at the pharmacy or something.

Sounds like you are getting a good buzz on.

No. As I said: I just feel kinda sleepy. Do you intentionally disregard what people say?

Yeah right, pointing out that he has the means to support a massive drug habit is jealousy.

In lieu of any info to back up that assertion, it is.

What do you think of post 95?

Interesting, but coincidental. 'A red herring' as the old Private Dic's would say.

You wouldn't make a very good detective.

Jumping to an emotional conclusion and then looking for supporting evidence is not good analysis.

There are so many holes in this, but I thought of another today:

Rush alledgedly offered the maid money to "destroy" her computer. Wouldn't he have just offered to "buy" it? I mean, imagine you are craftily trying to hide a crime and to do it in a non-incriminating way...Why would you say, "I'll give you 200 grand to destroy the computer [that contains the evidence]." If you are so craty that you make sure the drugs are handed off in a cigar box by someone else, and not you (which is alleged) why would you offer to pay to "destroy" evidence? Any quick thinker wanting to Clintonize the evidence destruction wouldn't offer to pay to commit a crime with the evidence---he'd offer to buy the computer, then he could take care of the computer HIMSELF without having brought another person into the destruction of evidence.
