You are mistaken. We are fourth generation Santa Ynezians, not people getting second hand gossip from friends. Two of my best friends have shown me the financial disclosures from their divorces. I have also seen bancrupcy notification/financial disclosure forms sent to a friend of mine by one of the tribal members. For the last couple of years the stipend has increased to $30,000 per month. Since the new Chumash Resort opened, the stipend has increased to $50,000.

Second hand gossip is exactly what you described in your assertion. A friend's statement. I deal with 34 members of the tribe on a near monthly basis. If they're getting $50,000 a month, they must have the worst gambling problems on the planet. I have seen and cashed the per cap checks, the highest I've seen was $3,400 for a family of four.

No, not a friend's statement, but a legal court document.

they must have the worst gambling problems on the planet.

Actually, they do gamble away most of their checks, but you are ABSOLUTELY wrong about the amount received by the Chumash. You are living in the 1990s. They have not been in the single digits for ten years.
