I don't know if it is okay to post from slate.com here, but their sportswriter has a column today defending Rush not only on McNabbs stats, but also on the fact that many sportswriters 'root' for him in some part because he is black, kind of like a lot of people rooted for Jackie Robinson in part because he was black.
