What does the audio tape say? Who is saying it? What kind of quality is it? Have the voices been authenticated? The e-mails (at least some) were published. How do we KNOW that the e-mails were written by Rush? Did she have access to Rush's computer? The grammar, from the quotes I've seen on FR, is fairly sloppy. Who said they took a polygraph? Who gave it? What were the questions asked? Who interpreted it?

Do yourself a favour and buy the magazine. I'm not your research assistant.

And how you work out the woman could have been using his computer is beyond me. Madison was joking, in case you didn't get it. She quit her job in July 2001. He was still emailing her in May 2002. Did she climb in through his window to email herself?

It occurs to me Rush could come out and admit this and you'd still say it wasn't true.

Great response...magazines never print things which aren't true, do they?

No, I am simply giving Rush the benefit of the doubt. At this time, being familiar with HIS credibility, I don't automatically believe people whose motives and truthfulness are not known.

It's far easier to be cynical. I could waffle around like most people here and say, "The story IS kinda fishy but....." and cover my ass if Rush ends up being a liar. I've made a deliberate decision to stand up for him. I think he has earned the benefit of the doubt by his past behavior.
