A reporter called me today and after a few of her questions it became obvious that she had a severe tilt to the left (I mean beyond the fact that she works for the Bee). After she finished asking all of her questions, I asked if I could ask her one question. Sure she says.

Ok, Do you love America?

What do you mean?

I mean, Do you love your country?

Long pause. Why do you ask?

I mean, if you love America, wouldn't you want to defend her when she's under attack?

Another long pause. Well, I really can't get into that. I'm a reporter and I have to be fair.

Fair? C'mon, if you loved America, there'd be no doubt that you'd want to defend her when she's under attack. That would be the patriotic thing to do.

I'm sorry, but we have to remain fair.

Fair? You mean liberal?

No, and that's what THEY say about us. They say we're too conservative.

Laughing out loud. No, the press is definitely liberal. Especially the Fresno Bee. Did you know they used to be called the Fresno Democrat?

Pregnant pause. No.

Lots of laughter. Even my wife is rolling on the floor by now.

Who is that laughing she asks (I'm on a speaker phone).

I had a similar experience with that channel 26 reporterette in Fresno when she interviewed me about the recall, and when I asked her some questions about her beliefs she gave me the same run-around. Think it could've been the same woman, Jim?
