HUTCHINSON, Kan. - Bob Arnot, a war correspondent for NBC-TV, brought a sense of the war in Iraq to hundreds of Kansans.
Arnot, speaking to 1,400 people at the Dillon Lecture Series on Wednesday, said soldiers stationed in Iraq have a sense of pride that is unexplainable unless experienced first hand.
"Many of you have an impression of an extremely depressive war because of the ongoing loss of life and the rumors that soldiers want to come home," Arnot said. "That couldn't be further from the truth."

Arnot bump.
To: Ex-Dem
Hope Arnot doesn't have to go into the witness protection program.
Brokaw will not be amused....nor will Russert.

Being Kansan native, I'm pretty sure most of Arnot's audience were already supportive of the troops, the President and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
No disrespect to Hutchinson, but it would be better if Arnot could take his message to LA, San Fran, Portland, Newark, Philly and NY. Better yet why can't NBC air him nightly on Brokaw's show with his good message for about 2 straight weeks? They are into broadcasting I hear.
But it's a start I suppose.

Bob Arnot has been a stand up guy, from Day One. He belongs on FOX.

Thanks, Ex-Dem, this is amazing. How can this gentleman keep his job at NBC?

Probably by not telling his bosses about his little trip to Kansas. I doubt that they would approve of his dispelling of the quagmire myth.
