AN DIEGO (AP) -- Gubernatorial front-runner Arnold Schwarzenegger acknowledged that he has "behaved badly" to women and offered an apology Thursday.

Schwarzenegger's remarks, as he kicked off a four-day bus tour of the state in the final days of the recall campaign, came after a Los Angeles Times story published Thursday in which six women accused him of sexually harassing and groping them.

Considering what now qualifies as sexual harassment, the offensive behavior could be pretty minor.

I'm willing to bet that any hanky panky or whatever, went both ways.

Unfortunately, many women today give as good as they get and give a lot of mixed messages.

A lot of women also turn on the guy if he is not as interested in them.

Regardless, we don't know what is meant by "offensive behavior", but the jackals want to assume the worst. What's new?

"I figure we found WMD in Iraq a long time ago..."

Gosh, and with all of this noise in the news, I don't know what McKay's testimony is today. Hmmm...

"After the big debate, have you changed your mind about who you support for Governor of California?
Still with McClintock
"

I have not changed my mind. I still believe that all Republicans should reject Ahnuld, and have always believed that. He is simply not a Republican. This morality issue is secondary.

Will it change anyone's mind? I doubt it, unfortunately. Ahnuld boosters seem so overawed by his stardom that they forget that his positions are overwhelmingly liberal in nature.

Nonstatist: Unbelievably stupid admission

Skeeter: Agreed. Its an transparent ploy he shouldn't have dignified with an admission. He's popular enought that he could've have attacked the media outlets for playing along & really done them damage.

He acknowledged that he may have said things that might have offended some people on a rowdy set, and made an appology. Yes, he could have attacked the media outlets, instead he took the opportunity to do the right thing - admit the behavior that was bad and make ammends for it. The groping accusations, rightly enough, he didn't comment on since they never happened.

I respect Arnold for doing it.

Nobody will care, Arnold will still win.

He didn't deny or admit anything specific, and I'm guessing if something specific comes out, he and Maria will do a news conference with Maria in a pink suit.

Looks like there might be some Team Arnold members working Admin Moderator duties this morning. This is definitely Breaking News. If it isn't, I don't know what is.

Yeah, it's called abuse of power.

Oh jeez, what next. The next story to break will be that President Bush pulled a 'Scarface' into a pile of coke on the desk of the Oval Office. Are we living in Bizarro world today or what?

Arnold did not deny the groping charges or admit to anything specific.

Don't you think there's a reason he didn't deny the Times article? Do you think there's a reason he was not specific about what he admitted to?
