AN DIEGO (AP) -- Gubernatorial front-runner Arnold Schwarzenegger acknowledged that he has "behaved badly" to women and offered an apology Thursday.
Schwarzenegger's remarks, as he kicked off a four-day bus tour of the state in the final days of the recall campaign, came after a Los Angeles Times story published Thursday in which six women accused him of sexually harassing and groping them.

Do you really think that you are not obviously backed into a corner? I'm not the one who's vehemently supported a candidate that now stands accused of (and has admitted to) sexual assault.

If this brand of Republican politics takes hold in California, it will begin to spread across the nation and infect the GOP in other areas where many centrist-RINO's dwell. If that happens, the GOP as we know it today, will die.It has taken hold and it will spread across the nation and the GOP will again become the party of the people. It is not dying, it is evolving.

"Sure it's political. So are the charges. So he was a bad boy in a sex-charged environment. He's matured. He'll make a fine governor..."
"The last charge was in 2000."
We do all realize don't we, that the alleged incident in 2000 is the one that was specifically denied in the story, with a witness saying it happened completely the opposite as alleged?

I disagree. The GOP is found and will be a dynamic force in '4!

Please cite the specifics and time and date that Arnold Schwarzenegger confessed to sexual assault.
Your story grows with your frustration. It's a little fun to watch.
Let's see........you've tried many types of dodging and even went on archive searches. Now you have him guilty of sexual assault.
But alas, not a single detail to support any specifics. Do you not understand the question?

Some of you are going to be surprised at what I'm about to say (because I'm an ardent McClintock supporter). But I think this story is DISGUSTING! Why would any woman stand around and let herself be "groped"?! I hate this kind of stupid story.
I'm for McClintock but I don't like this kind of crap against Schwarzenegger. There's plenty of ammo to use against him that hasn't anything to do with this trash.

Not me, I said he'd laugh it off, and he has. Governor Schwarzenegger. At this time, I, too, would like to apologize for anyone I have ever offended about anything. Bwaahahahahaha

How some of our colleagues here handled it and how Arnold handled it are two entirely different things.
I stand by what I wrote: Arnold is no Bubba.

Yet you deliberately misinterpret his own words to suit your end, and continue to attempt to divert the issue by attacking people like myself. It's pathetic to watch, and I have little doubt that outside observers can see clear through your transparent ploy.

I think it is an outrage that these women have kept these dark secrets for all this time. How irresponsible!!!!
After all, Arnold has been involved in many civic activities for children and such and they wait until now????? For shame.
I wonder what happened to inspire all of them to come together as a united front at this particular moment in time. Hmmmmmmmmmmm????????

"...the fact that McClintock seems determined to be the California version of Marshall Coleman in the `94 Senate race." The difference is that Coleman was defeated by North in the primary, while Arnold was rumored to NOT be running about a month or so ago. Then, when Arnold decided to throw his hat in the ring, all other GOPers were treated as pretenders to the throne from day one and called "traitors" or "dupes" for not supporting a guy who professed many policy positions that are diametrically-opposed to what conservatives believe.
"Why is it that major Indian gambling interests are donating to both Bustamante and McClintock? They seem to fear Schwarzenegger will upset the sweetheart deal they currently have, and they appear to be playing both ends against the middle."
They have good reason to fear this as Arnie's making it an applause line in his stump speech. (One of the things that makes me more inclined to support AS, BTW!!)
"A lot of the folks being attacked for supporting Schwarzenegger are by no means RINOs, trolls, or disruptors - at least some have been Freepers of good standing for longer than I have been here. I sense some of this is being pushed by some folks the Left in a "divide and conquer" strategy that, if allowed to succeed will only proceed to aid the Left."
The name-calling has certainly been rampant in both directions, and I'm sure there are some out there who are disingenuously supporting McClintock for the reason you describe; however, there are a lot of folks who've become quite incensed by Dubyuh's abandonment of conservatism vis a vis domestic policy, and simply believe voting for Arnold is taking us further in the wrong direction.
FReegards...MUD
BTW...personally, I'm glad I don't have to pull a voting lever in California...LOL!!

I didn't hear anything like that. I better send them a scolding e-mail. They are not doing their job.

>>>I'm not the one who's vehemently supported a candidate that now stands accused of (and has admitted to) sexual assault.I think its fair to say, the Arnoldnauts have been caught supporting and defending an abuser of women and a slight of hand liar! The blame for that bad decision lies with themselves. Instead of coming front and center and admitting to this mistake, they're trying to elbow their way out and blame the anti-Arnoldnauts for their own personal shortcomings. That's pathetic and shameful. The responsibility for Arnie's rude and crude behavior towards women over the years, is squarely placed at his feet. But Arnie's behavior goes well beyond poor judgment. It was immoral and deadwrong. And that speaks volumes about Arnie's social liberalism. People need to wake up and see this big jerk for what he really is. A total fraud.
