---"Ah, but Rush DID do something wrong. He tried to turn a football show into a political show. And that's not what ESPN is selling."----
Actually, he didn't. He was criticizing the sports media, which is fair game on a show about sports.
This country has basically gone insane. Someone can either be fired or encouraged to resign by pressure for saying something that should be thought-provoking yet NON-controversial. Agree or disagree, the idea that the media is aware of diversity concerns and might treat athletes differently because of race is a legitimate opinion that should be discussed. There is nothing outrageous, racist or "fire-able" about such an opinion even if you think the premise is incorrect.
Outraged? You bet.

That's how it SHOULD workl but unfortunately we are in a country where many believe that AMerica's racial past can somehow be fixed by destroying free speech and reinstituting ugly racial double standars in reverse in the present. But the worst part about it is the utter whimpiness of those who SHOULD be standing up against it, but aren't.
