Goodbye ESPN! I did watch you daily, but now you are history.
Actually, I don't need bread and circuses any more. I think I grew up a bit.
America is much like ancient Rome. We have non-stop circuses and go from one sports season to another. We grow enormous numbers of fat male couch spuds while we are at it. One big difference from the Romans: their gummint leaders would throw free bread to the spectators. Ours taxes the hot dogs and beer sold to the sportssheeple.

Rush could have simply said that McNabb was overrated. He didn't have to mention anything about race. Rush is a smart guy, and he should have thought about what he was saying. If Rush had simply stated that McNabb was overrated, without bringing in race as a factor, we wouldn't be talking about this right now.

All it takes for evil to prosper is for good people to do nothing.
Next time liberalism is kicking our asses and ruining aemrica take a minute to ask yourselves, did you try to stop it or did you just bury your head in the sand again?

Give rush a break, he was stoned.

LOL! I was trying to think of something similar for ESPN. Yours was great.

What disturbs me, is that Rush is always saying that one should stand up and fight in the face of this kind of thing. There was nothing wrong with what he said, because it was the truth.
He, corectly, lambastes Bush, the administration and the republican house and senate all the time for not fighting the democrat slurs, yet he did not. I've been a RL listener from the beginning, and for me, this is a real credibility buster. He sure rolled over quickly.

I only watched to see RUSH. Now that I know just how wimpy the other 4 guys are I'd rather watch anything but.

"Rush could have simply said that McNabb was overrated. He didn't have to mention anything about race." NO.....we are in a BATTLE for the SANITY of this nation....and I for one won't play the little word/mind games the PC crowd wants.....Rush stated something OBVIOUS but those of the "Kings" crowd (The King who wears no clothes) don't want to see it.....well, they can keep their little blinders on all they want.....and watch this country dive deeper into the dungeons of democracy denied. (How's that for word play? LOL.)

Translated--Rush should have realized that in America there is no free speech about race, unless you are spewing the liberal line, and acted accordingly.
Is it any wonder with "conservatives" like so many on this thread that we aren't drilling ANWR, we don't have Estrada on the court, that affirmative action was just upheld a by a reagan appointee? Pathetic, truly pathetic. I can handle the libs, but when our own side can't even stand up for what's right we are truly doomed.

Yes! I'm getting the notice every time I try to read or comment on a post. What's the deal?

All it takes for evil to prosper is for good people to do nothing. Sorry. Calling ESPN "evil" is a bit of a stretch for me.

Yes, Rush could have left it at saying McNabb was overrated. But he didn't. He said that he was overrated and he said that other people were overrated him because he was black. The way I see it then, he pointed at others who inject race into their rating of a quarterback, and it is those people who need to be criticized.
To: Libs R Evil
IIRC, ESPN issued a statement the other day defending Rush and certainly not asking for his resignation. While it's true a few Dummiecrat hopefuls asked ESPN to fire him, they didn't. Rush's resignation was Rush's.
Remember that ESPN hired Rush in the face of liberal complaints and campaigns.
ESPN is owned by Disney, remember. So your boycott should extend to Disney and ABC as well. The Disney thing I recommend. However, I view ESPN as THE source of TV sports and sports news. I can't stomach Fox's lame attempts at the same, sorry.

I don't think s/he's referring to "ESPN".....it's about the PC CROWD and their blatant narcissism, etc.
