LIE TESTS EYED FOR CIA LEAK

WASHINGTON - The White House yesterday hinted it would allow lie-detector tests for President Bush's staff in the investigation into the CIA leak.

Probers began poring through records and phone logs to hunt for anything related to the leak that has sparked a political furor.

A polygraph dragnet to find leakers is a bad idea. Polygraph testing is junk science: it is inherently biased against the truthful, but easily beaten by liars through the use of simple countermeasures that polygraph operators cannot detect.

And Rick Ames was just one of numerous spies who beat the polygraph. The latest one to be made publicly known is Ana Belen Montes, the Pentagon's top expert for Cuban affairs, who was in fact a Cuban double agent.

Of course, if WH staffers agree to be polygraphed, Wilson and even Novak should agree as well. In fact, all principals to this, including Novak's wife should have to undergo the same test. It would sure look peculiar if somebody refused, wouldn't it?

Remember the classified info leak that gave rise to the story Bush Knew regarding 9/11? Hillary barely had time to pull up her control top pantyhose before she was on the senate floor wanting an investigation. I believe the leak occured within 3 days of her getting on a committee that had access to it. Anyone remember? The senators were asked to take a lie detector test and refused. If Bush allows his people to take one it will never end. The dems will cook up another investigation and say "you were willing to take the lie detector last time, why not this time?It makes you look like your hiding something" If the Senate refuses to do it,the reporters don't do it, the Clinton's and their people didn't do it, why in the world should Bush people do it?

For that reason alone, I'm sure that the brave Mr. Wilson and his "undercover op" wife will tell us who called them to set up Mr. Wilson's outing to Niger. After all, someone in the CIA called Wilson, and this person told Wilson that Cheney wanted him to go. Cheney says that the entire episode is a fabrication.

I'm sure the brave Mr. Wilson will agree to sort it all out for us.

Robert Novak is CLEAR in his reporting that the information he received was from the CIA.

Wilson’s wife probably outed herself to give the hubby his 15 minutes of fame with the Democrats.

What I am getting the impression is that this is a "WAR" delcared upon the White HOuse via State Dept. and CIA cause of the heat they have been taking about being asleep and/or ignoring terrorist and handing out the welcome mat.

Someone need to explain why the CIA sent this flunkie to investigate nuke material from Africa being sought by Saddam. This is the real story and since Mr. Wilson started talking he has exposed the real game going on.

The freaking CIA is not competent to protect this nation and the STATE DEPT. is a wing of the UN.

Your other reference should be to the National Academy of Sciences Study which concluded that it is mostly junk and twaddle.
