And frankly, I never heard Rush moralizing about people being drug addicts. (The left loves to act like he does, but he really doesn't).I agree to some extent in that I just don't give a rats behind when I read or hear about another entertainer with a drug problem. Their life, their choice. Deal with it. However, assuming the reports are true -- and that is nothing but an assumption at this point -- Rush has been quite vocal over the years about Bill and Roger Clinton and their nose problem. If the reports are true, then this is just another example of intellectual dishonesty.

I'm not sure. I would put cocaine in a different catagory than a problem with prescription painkillers, when one has a significant health problem.
Of course,if all the lurid stuff about forcing her to meet pushers in parking lots etc (I am not clear on this aspect of the story) is true that does make a difference. But I until I hear different I'm not sure I believe that. You can tell if someone lives stoned. He doesn't.
Being a person who deals with chronic pain, it's easy to take two instead of one, especially if you feel you need it, and then take an extra one for pain that isn't quite so bad, because you know you'll sleep through the night without being woken up by pain.
Fortunately, I am educated enough to know how dangerous a trap that is. But I can see how easily people fall into it. And I think it can be a different problem than recreation drug use.
