Are you interested in a bridge I have for sale? Listen, RL could FOLD this NY newspaper if this is not true, and you know it and I know it and the newspaper knows it. That is the #1 reason that I believe this story. It involves an investigation. PERHAPS THE LADY IS LYING, and ends up being a disgruntled employee who was sent out to buy blue jelly beans for Rush and she got him on tape. But they are investigating something here.

How could they be guilty of libel? They're just reporting allegations. If the allegations are false that does not make the paper guilty of anything.

Are you nuts? These folks have lawyers out the ying-yang that do nothing but specialize in defending their libel reporting?
And an "investigation" means nothing unless you know the full context of that investigation. Sounds like the maid got caught bying drugs so she rats out Rush and that gets some fired up 2nd assistant DA all foaming at the mouth about hyping his pitiful career.
Come on, use some cognitive reasoning.
