Please pray for a 7 yr old with Leukemia

I would like to ask for prayer for Jacquelyn. She's 7 yrs old and was diagnosed with luekemia in late June. The prognosis isn't that great, the doctors give her no more than a 50/50 chance to survive. She has been taking chemotherapy treatments every other week and has been a trooper and so brave.

She is supposed to be having another treatment this week but she can't because she is too sick. She has a blood fungus and some kind of infection and she's in extreme pain. They have her on morphine. I'm just so concerned about her. She's such a beautiful little girl, so full of life and personality and I know she's in God's hands but we all love her so much we want her here with us.

My daughter-in-law said that she teared up in front of her the other and Jacquelyn hugged her and told her don't worry I'll be okay. Saturday, they let my grandchildren see her and they read her a book but she's been too sick most of the time to have any visitors except her parents.

I ask everyone I see to pray for her and I know how faithful so many of you are and I'd like you to add your prayers.

I wish I had a picture of her, you'd all fall in love with her immediately.

Hi, I'm sorry I've been away from the computer so much. Jacquelyn continues to be in excruciating pain. She is back on morphine. The doctor says that he hasn't ever lost a patient with this, typhlitis but her inflammation is as large as a man's fist. Even with the morphine she screams in pain. I don't know how she endures, it has been almost 3 weeks since this started and the pain has been almost constant.

Her parents and grandparents are all with her. All her family and friends are still praying and hoping. As for me I'm begging and pleading with God to intervene. You can't live in a small town for 44 years without seeing or living through hundreds of tragedies but I think this one has affected me more profoundly than any other. I don't know why I made such a connection with this little girl and why she and her family came into my life. I was drawn to her like a magnet the first time I saw her standing next to my grandson at a school function and my facsination never went away. She is beautiful and she is very dramatic and serious but in a way that makes you crack up. I don't know how many times I've had to turn my back to her so she wouldn't see me laughing.

I like to think that God put me in her life to pray for her now and to bring others to pray for her. I ask anyone who pauses to speak to me if they will pray for her and I'm asking again for you all to pray. Whatever the outcome they are needed so much. Thank you for your caring and thank you for the prayers.

I'll try to get a picture posted sometime next week when I'm not so busy.

Big Prayer Bump! Thanks for the update. I'm starting with a prayer for her pain to abate; that her doctor will find something that will work.

This is terrible. Have they thought of surgery to remove that section of intestine as they did for me, or is she not a candidate for surgery at this time? Prayers continue.
