Lie detectors are about as accurate as voodoo.. I'm against them because they don't work, that's all.

I voted no to enforce that this is a non-issue and that tests and oxygen on this topic are a waste.

I think politicians should be drug-tested just like citizens, too bad they'll never be...thats why we'll always have drunks and the feeble-minded in power

"Lie detectors are about as accurate as voodoo.. I'm against them because they don't work, that's all. "

That's my understanding as well. Seems like I remember a 60 minutes special where they used some contrive settings. Hired several lie detector expert to test employees for a theft that never happened. So that 60 minutes new they were all innocent but the expert didn't.

The results were that the expert practically always confirmed that the person who 60 minutes said was the most suspicious had committed the theft.

Other sources have said that the primary value of a lie detector test is in getting you to reveal stuff prior to taking the test.

I would vote yes if we could make this retroactive to 1993

"I think politicians should be drug-tested just like citizens"

I think politicians should have to submit to everything that they enforce on the private sector.

Same benefits programs, same workplace rules and regulations, everything. They should be able to exempt themselves from anything.

Yes.

Also, John Kerry, Joe Wilson & Wife, Knut Royce, George Tenet, Hillary Clinton & Bill, Wesley Clark, Leahy, Orrin Hatch, Jacques Chirac, Gerhard Schroeder, Grey Davis, Arnold Schwarz., Barbara Hatch Rosenberg, Al Franken, Anne Coulter, and the guy who "fixed" my television.

Especially the last one.

I'll vote yes if Hillary will take one first, with the questions written by Karl Rove.

Why bother? Republicans will do it to follow the law. Democrats will ignore it and say that "there's no governing legal authority".

I would prefer a poll that asks who should be given a lie detector test?

A. Joseph Wilson
B. Valerie Plame
C. The so-called 6 journalists who called Wilson
D. The White House
E. Senior Administration Officials in all Government Agencies

How about we start by strapping Wilson up to a lie detector machine first.

Since the DemocRAT leadership is asserting that they KNOW the statue of Ms. Wilson as an active, secret field operative currently working on sensitive projects I would like to have them tested as well to determine how they came upon that knowledge and who they have told.
