We are not pledged (keep trying to talk hubby into it and I think NH is going to be a no-sell point now.) Anyways thisa morning , spending only a very few minutes I tried to get real estate info and could only find (remember only a little time so this isnt serious research yet) high end properties. I was hoping they'd pick someplace with cheap land. After teh kids go to bed tonight I can give it some real attention though.

It does strike me as odd that freedom lovers and "leave-me-alone" types would choose to move so many people into so seemingly small an area. It seems a place like Montana (or yes even Wyoming) would be more of draw because everyone would have lots (and lots!) of elbow room. Too many people in too cramped a space quickly becomes a liberal breeding ground. I'm sure it relly isn't as small a place as my globe makes it seem though.

Anyways who can name me a decent NH paper or two with their classifieds online. I haven't given up hope of changing hubby's mind but its gonna take some work.

For real estate, try: Northern New England Real Estate

But be warned: it's pretty pricy around here (southern 1/3 of the state near I-93). As people are willing to drive further to work near Boston, and as Boston area business expand north, the housing pricing has been going up, up, up.

Also pay attention to local property taxes as that is your primary way of paying for government services. They're not cheap!
