You're talking about rollerblading, yes? Well, most of the serious bladers I come across tend to take up the entire path (you know, like a speed skater). Many times, I've had to slow down and ask to pass (which is fine) and been yelled at. I guess because it breaks their rhythm?

Yeah, that's just rude. If I have to break my stride and slow down, I just chalk it up as an interval.
Doing anything that takes up the entire width of trail is asking for an asskicking or an injury ;)
