Interesting point about Maine's welfare checks. I didn't know anyone could beat Minnesota's

I don't know about welfare checks from state to state, but I understand that TX has some of the smallest. I have also read that NH has less generous welfare than does Dean's VT or Snowe's ME. Wouldn't CA be the mecca of welfare and explain to some extent the illegal immigration problem there?

I'm not sure, I'm not familiar with California's welfare programs. Whatever they are, I'm sure it's more than what the Mexicans are getting in Mexico.
