Do you think that this nation did not have a right to secede from England? In my opinion, there are a hell of a lot of FReepers who would have remained loyal to the crown. Consider that only a third of the colonialists even supported rebellion in the first place.

In the military history classes presented at West Point, that figure is given as 15%. With about the same number of Tories/Loyalists in opposition.
