I was born and raised in Louisiana, and lived in South Louisiana for the most part of my youth. I am used to seeing snakes coiled around trees overhead and swimming in the water.
Yall have never lived in fear until you have actually touched a snake.
I was walking along some creasole timbers when I stepped between them. I felt IT under my bare foot. It must be a primal instinct to just KNOW what it is and jump into the air. I did.
It was a big water moccasin.
