The funny (dark comedy) thing about the 9/11 news coverage this year, is that if George Bush wasn't President, the media would have pushed the story to the hilt. They refused to give the story the print and air time it deserved on the theory that it would have shown Bush's presidency in a favorable light. What a pathetic myopic lot! Imagine the crocdile tears that the Media would have shed, if Slick Willy were president.

My frustration with the media knows no bounds. Just two years ago, the mainland of our nation was attacked by a foreign source for the first time since the War of 1812. We lost over 3,000 of our citizens, countless billions of dollars, and many thousands of children lost at least one parent. In addition, Congress AND MEDIA BIG SHOTS were attacked by the anthrax letters.

Yet here we are, just two years later, and what is the media obsessing about? A phony "who's the leaker" story, that's what. Never mind that the entire media house of cards would come tumbling down if it weren't for anonymous sources and leaks — real or invented. If they can bring down this president, they will, and what's best for the country be damned.

While what I'm about to write comes from frustration, and is not to be taken literally, I must confess there is a dark part of me that almost wishes the anthrax mailer(s) had taken out a bunch of media hot shots instead of postal workers.
