KERO Goes One-On-One With Schwarzenegger

POSTED: 6:21 PM PDT September 29, 2003 BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- The latest CNN poll shows, if the recall election were today, Arnold Schwarzenegger would win.

Schwarzenegger visited Bakersfield Monday afternoon for a fund-raiser at Seven Oaks Country Club. Channel 23 reporter Emily Valdez sat down with the leading recall candidate and got some answers that may not have been made clear during the recent debate.

On his last-minute tour of California, Schwarzenegger discussed how he will get the state out of its monstrous deficit.

"We have to go step-by-step," Schwarzenegger said.

Schwarzenegger leads the latest poll with 40 percent. If the latest poll is correct, Schwarzenegger could take the governor's seat even if Sen. Tom McClintock stayed in the race, KERO reported.

At first I thought you made this up.

But then I clicked on your source. Someone in Bakerfield has a wry sense of humor.

THAT is what you get with 30 advisors? That's the message of the Outsider? The Governator? The Republican Messiah?

Note to FReeper Lurkers: I sensed this guy was going to run "Stealth" to get power even before he announced; TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS.

Say Ambrose, how would the (R)nold Groupies react if what used to be called the "Hollywood Idiots" had said the way to solve the huge crisis in Iraq is merely "We have to go step-by-step" hmmmmm?
