CLAUDIUSTG WROTE: "Let's see. Arnold does not have a conservative stance on abortion, gun control, gay marriage, or the place of Christian religious principles in public life. We assume he adheres to conservative economic policies, but he has not taken the pledge to not raise taxes. It's quite possible he'll look at the books and say that he's going to raise taxes and terminate the deficit."

First, a GOVERNOR cannot reverse Roe v. Wade.

Second, although Arnold is NOT Pro-Life, Arnold IS AGAINST Partial-Birth Abortion and IS FOR Parental Notification.

Back in 1974, I was VERY Pro-Abortion. I had a college assignment to do a "FAIR and BALANCED" simulated radio broadcast on a controversial issue and I picked abortion, thinking I would put what I thought were "those religious nuts" to shame. After having to investigate the OTHER side (i.e. the Pro-Life side), I became Pro-Life LITERALLY OVERNIGHT! There is hope for Arnold.

I am not sure how anti-2nd Amendment he is, since he has made MILLIONS in the MOVIE industry using GUNS.

Regarding his economic attitude, the FACT that he has ALSO made MILLIONS via his INVESTMENTS, I actually believe that HE is probably the BEST choice for enabling California to make MILLIONS if not BILLIONS. He KNOWS how to make SOUND ECONOMIC DECISIONS BETTER THAN ANY OTHER CANDIDATE FOR GOVERNOR!!!---He is the ONLY one who has DONE IT!

CLAUDIUSTG ADDED: "Then what? Are we going to pray to Maria to interceed for us?"

LOL.

CLAUDIUSTG ADDED: "But he can win..."

As stated above, I believe Arnold is the BEST QUALIFIED to turn the California economy around. And the ONLY way he can have that opportunity is to WIN! And he has the BEST chance for winning!

Frankly, I would MUCH rather see McClintock run for (and WIN) U.S. SENATOR, to give California a CONSERVATIVE VOICE, for such things as FEDERAL JUDGE ADVISING AND CONSENTING...HINT...HINT!!!

This just isn't true, he treated Tom with great respect on his show today.

I'm curious, what did you think of McCain when he ran? If he were running in California, would you support him instead of Arnold? (He could easily win, and would be 100000000000000000000000 times more conservative than Arnold)

You and moodyskeptic have nailed it. Some people are just not aware that they are responding to primal instincts that dictate we follow the one with muscles, looks, popularity or shallow charm. Humanity's circumstances have far exceeded humanity's intellectual capacity.

I didn't support McCain at all when he was running for President. I have trouble envisioning him in this particular race, and my personal dislike for the man makes it even harder.

All I can say is that I might be able to support him over Arnold in such a hypothetical matchup.
