Today, briefly, Rush addressed a caller about him (Rush) being in the Arnold "camp". It was a Dem calling and chiding the R's for saying they have principals, yet were voting for Arnold who has views more like his (caller) than Republicans. Rush jumped up and said " Don't link me in THAT CAMP ! '
Then he said to the caller :
" We should't compromise our principals...we SHOULD WIN WITH OUR PRINCIPALS."
Thanks, Rush.
I heard Rush say that...again. I think he meant principles rather than principals, but everyone has principles, even the Liberals and everyone believes in their principles. Principles don't matter in politics if you lose. If you don't like the Liberal's principles, then you must not do anything that can help them win.
I remember Rush going on and on for weeks before the 1992 election begging people not to vote for Perot and throw their vote away. On the surface, Perot was an attractive candidate for people who were pissed at Bush for breaking his promise. He was populist, and threatened the existing governmental order in DC, said he would not raise taxes, and wanted a strong defense. But voting for him would just elect Bill Clinton, and that's what happened.
Too bad Rush doesn't remember that far back.
