White House Denies Leaking CIA Identity

The phone logs have already been opened. How do you think the source that Thompson used for the niger story was outed? Don't you all remember the source that Thompson from Capital Hill Blue used to trash the Bush Administration on Niger -- you know, former CIA agent, been to two White House meetings -- source was PHONEY and he said he had been using him for 20 years. He was identified as an Administration source more than once!

Once again, Karl Rove did not leak -- would not leak to Novak under any circumstance! Even Wilson said he doesn't know if it was Rove -- you can bet money it wasn't Rove and they will find the leak if they have to hunt it down themselves and the RATs better hope it is not another Clintonite from CIA or any other agency leaking once again.

Who do you think is doing the leaking in this Administration? It is not the circle around Pres Bush or they would be gone! Better to look at Clintonties who became civil service before Clinton left office. That is who it turned out to be at DoD. What makes you think it isn't the case this time.

The dislike of Rove on here is astounding by some folks. Tells me he is doing a pretty good job!

I'd be astounded if Rove was behind this. Considering the British intelligence stands by their yellow cake story, there's no upside for Rove to do this and he's not dumb and knows he'd be facing a federal prison term (rightly so).

He's an Arab lover and against the war in Iraq and I didn't like his comments many times on the Capitol Gang regarding the war on terror. Have you ever heard him argue the "conservative" point of viewon Capitol Gang? Any one of us would have better come-backs to the Rats than Novak.

Almost everything that Novak has written trying to be an insider in this Administration has turned out to be wrong starting with McCain was going to be the VP candidate.

Novak is not an insider to the Bush Administration no matter how many times he tries to infer that he is! Anyone trusting Novak should think twice and then think again when it comes to reporting inside information. Better check his sources from the Clinton Administration and see if they are buried in the Bush Administration.

I agree 100% and have said repeatedly that Rove is waaaay too smart to be involved in this. There's no upside for him and he would not risk a federal prison term and undermine the Bush administration in such a way.

Im curious to who the leak is...Im willing to bet it is not a member of Bush's handpicked administratin....they all know the media is not friendly to them in the least, why would they trust them now...and especially Novack....someone is trying to start a scandal with this administration just in time for the election...coinky-dink?

Sounds like that disease that Wesley Clark had. More than likely, Novak's source is a fellow CIA agent (a disturbing possibility) or a "friend" of the couple.
