The poll showed Schwarzenegger with much stronger support than an earlier L.A. Times poll, which showed voters narrowly approving the recall by margin of 50% to 47% and leaning toward Bustamante as a replacement candidate. Davis spokesman Gabriel Sanchez played down the latest survey, which he called way out of line with reality. "There are a lot of polls out there," Sanchez said. "We're not taking a lot of stock in this one."

It should be obvious that the LA Times slanted its coverage in an attempt to aid Davis/Bustamante. It is also obvious that Schwarzenegger is surging.

Ah, and there's the dirty secret. Nixon was followed by Carter. George Christopher was the last Republcian mayor of San Francisco. Wilson was followed by Davis. Republican "moderates" are the death of the GOP. Your only choice to save a Party that stands for anything more than, "We're not Democrats," is to vote for McClintock.

And Reagan was followed by....Moonbeam Brown. Your theory goes up in smog free smoke.

Gov. Swartzensomething said today "I worked harder than I ever have before but we need to raise spending and taxes to fix the deficit".

Utterly ridiculous... his whole campaign revolves around lowering taxes and cutting spending. He has even pledged specifically that he will NEVER raise taxes to close the deficit. As much as it hurts you that Arnold is a fiscal conservative, it's the truth.

"To hell with unborn children. Just win, baby!"

Tranparent. Pro-life, pro-family, anti-kid.

McClintock's mutants would cut every child related program and put a gun in every young hand.

There isn't any real difference between an Arnold Schwarzenegger apologist and a Bill Clinton apologist.

Sorry, but Wilson is Schwarzenkennedy's campaign manager. Wilson has as much credibility as the Arkansas Antichrist. You choose to believe Wilson's stooges. I choose to believe National Review. As a conservative, I'll go with NR anytime over the social revolutionaries and Demonrats in "GOP" drag who are Arnold's campaign. That ain't gonna change even if ArnieCruzaDoofus is elected.

Moonbeam was followed by a conservative, not a moderate.

Saber, half of these individuals who are smearing McClintock and posting personal insults for the last month to all those who support him don't own a business in CA. In fact they don't even live, pay taxes or even own property in CA so they could care less what happens. And the other half may live in CA but they apparently don't work because they spend their entire day in front of their computers insulting others and smearing the only true blue dyed-in-the-wool Republican in the race who has been the only representative in Sacramento for 20 years who represented CA conservatives. They are as shallow as their candidate and are nothing more than potty mouth slanderers, baiters and instigatators. They can't defend a candidate who has no platform and no proposals so they spend their time smearing McClintock and insulting anyone who supports him. Californians didn't learn from the Pete Wilson fiasco and they will continue to make the same mistake until they learn that a liberal is still a liberal whether they have a "D", an "R" or an "I" after their name. And three years from now when the budget is not balanced, the taxes and fees are not lowered if not raised and the CA economy is in the toilet I won't say "I told you so." Ya can't be a social liberal and a fiscal conservative at the same time...ya gotta pay for those programs somehow. VOTE4MCCLINTOCK or pay the con$equence$! http://www.helptom.com BTW, all you Aunold fan club members can go right ahead and flame away. I have my asbestos suit on and you are on the "Do Not Call" list anyway. So don't expect me to take the "bait!" Well, have a good day, Saber. I have to open for business and get busy so we can pay the undoubtedly higher CA taxes and fees that we'll be paying next year if McClintock is not elected governor.

Moonbeam ran on a platform of fiscal frugality, the "era of limits," hardly the usual leftist tack. IMO, Reagan's, and the Party's big mistake there was not to develop their replacement candidates.

But there are more examples of what I was talking about. BushI was followed by Clinton. The way BushII is spending money, it could happen again if Hillary jumps in. Most folks will wonder why we have to pay taxes to build power plants for Iraqis when they can trade contracts for oil to raise the cash.

The theory is generally indicative, there are exceptions.

Actually the aids benefit plan was really supported by GWB and not an item of comprimise, so was no child left behind. If anything there was a lot of compromises made inorder for GWB to recieve congressional apporval to fund the war in Iraq.
