The government is trying to determine whether Syria is engaged in espionage against the United States in light of an investigation of security breaches at a prison camp in Cuba, a top White House aide said yesterday.
"We're looking into it, and we'll see what's there," said Condoleezza Rice, President Bush's national security adviser.

Actually this guy could make things somewhat easier for us. Most prisoners at guantanamo aren't big enough to supply any worthwhile info to Syria through him. Find out which ones there are big enough fish to qualify for a such a risk and began the interrogations all over again.

I wonder if the Grand Mufti of Syria and his Abu Nour Institute in Damascus (at which Yee studied) could have run an agent without the knowledge and approval of the Syrian government.
