How about a press conference? If they have to pay for it, hey, they are spending our money like drunken sailors anyway, so, why not pay the media for a press conference castigating the mis-use of the filisbuster. It would also help if the President would use the bully pulpit a bit more especially since it's his nominees who are being rejected.

I have to wonder why Bush waited so long until he used his pulpit to cast the much needed light on the Estrada hearing. Perhaps it was a politcal move where he knew that the Democrats couldn't save face after the damage had reached the point of irreversability? Or perhaps he just had more faith inthe congress than he should have. I don't really know.
