Japanese orgy of 900 angers China
The Telegraph (U.K.) ^ | 09/29/03 | Richard Spencer

An orgy involving 400 Japanese tourists and 500 Chinese prostitutes triggered a new outpouring of antipathy in China towards its historic rival yesterday.

The Japanese party took over the five-star International Convention Centre Hotel in Zhuhai, on the Pearl River delta near Hong Kong.

The nightclub manager provided girls for their entertainment. Prostitution is technically illegal in China but it has become a growth industry. However, the scale and the involvement of the Japanese has inflamed feelings.

The three-day visit ended on September 18, the anniversary of the Japanese invasion of China in 1931. According to the Beijing Youth Daily, the group's visit was arranged by the hotel's marketing department. When one local asked a Japanese man why he was there, he was told: "We came to play with Chinese girls."

Many Chinese also come to Zhuhai for the same purpose. But the strength of anti-Japanese feeling is such that the incident was viewed as a calculated insult, even though the hotel said arranged prostitution was common.

Hostile comment poured in yesterday to China's websites. "It's a trivial matter for Chinese prostitutes to sell sex, but the key is to look at the intentions of the Japanese devils," said one. "They came on purpose for September 18."

The hotel was closed yesterday while police investigated.

"They came on purpose"

As Forest would say "that's all I have to say about that."

Well, now that it's in all the papers, a lot of Japanese businessmen have a lot of explaining to do to their wives about that recent business trip they took.

,,, industrial psychological downside of the customer always being right. Sentiment isn't meant to come into it.

Typical Abercrombie ad: a bunch of muscular shirtless guys falling all over each other and a few small and inconspicuous women. This one is actually better than most. What I can't understand is whether they are really trying to appeal to a gay clientele. My son used to be really into their clothes but even he is getting turned off because it's so blatant.

Hmm, 500 prostitutes for 400 Japanese sex tourists, I guess the Japanese don't go in for 'sroppy sreconds'. ;^)

It looks like the same photographers who work for Calvin Klein. Disgusting. I wouldn't buy any of their stuff on a bet.
