MAN ON A TIGHTROPE, starring Fredric March and Gloria Grahame, was actually one of the few A-list anticommunist movies made by Hollywood in the 50's. It's about a Czech circus troupe escaping from the Reds. It was a commercial flop on first release and is rarely seen today, but it's quite a good movie.

One of the all-time greats, who also stood up against Communist sympathizers in Hollywood. A giant among men. I was rather shocked to find out that FoxNews doesn't think so:

Note the reference to the blacklisted communist actor as 'America's Olivier.' Yes, yes, of course. If they're communist, they must have been talented.
