Just finished watching Joe Wilson on C-Span and he is involved with Moveon Org the group that wants to get Rumsfield fired---this whole thing is bogus. I truly hope that the next Bush Whitehouse expunges EVERY one of the old Clinton hold overs----before they too bite him in the fanny.

I didn't "attack" a man's wife. I am questioning why Wilson is drumming up this story and using his wife as one element to push it. And I am questioning her loyalty....but I certainly didn't reach a conclusion.

What is beneath contempt is already arriving at a conclusion that someone in the administration committed a crime and "should be strung up".

Why bother with a garbage spewing site like that?

You get the quotes where you can find them..as I mentioned the partisan politics of the source as well. You can't just read what best suits your agenda ..you have to read all that is being said and sift out the facts. Enough misrepresentation of the facts seems to leak from both sides. Sorry if you don't like all you read or hear..we could ban free speach.

"Whoever, as a result of having authorized access to classified information, learns the identity of a covert agent and intentionally discloses any information identifying such covert agent to any individual not authorized to receive classified information, knowing that the information disclosed so identifies such covert agent and that the United States is taking affirmative measures to conceal such agent's intelligence relationship to the United States, shall be fined under Title 18 or imprisoned not more than five years or both." 50 U.S.C. § 421.

From Drudge - no link as of 4:45, Central time. This is according to Bob Novak.

'Nobody in the Bush administration called me to leak this. In July I was interviewing a senior administration official on Ambassador Wilson's report when he told me the trip was inspired by his wife, a CIA employee working on weapons of mass destruction. Another senior official told me the same thing. As a professional journalist with 46 years experience in Washington I do not reveal confidential sources. When I called the CIA in July to confirm Mrs. Wilson's involvement in the mission for her husband -- he is a former Clinton administration official -- they asked me not to use her name, but never indicated it would endanger her or anybody else. According to a confidential source at the CIA, Mrs. Wilson was an analyst, not a spy, not a covert operator, and not in charge of undercover operatives'...

emphasis mine

This is a set up.  This is a manufactured hoax being perpetrated on the American people by the dims.  We should demand an investigation of those involved hurling these fraudulent accusations and prosecute them under the RICO statutes.  We should investigate Mr. Wilson and prosecute him for violating the confidentiality agreements he signed by disclosing classified information in the New York Times articles that he wrote.  We should prosecute him for conspiring to feed inaccurate information to our intelligence community by falsifying his so called investigation.  We should prosecute Mrs. Wilson (not the name she goes by) for violating ethics laws and steering a government to her husband.  If that's not a conflict of interest I don't know what is.

The Clinton administration spent 8 years placing their people into every niche they could in government.  Those people are loyal to Billary, not the US.  The CIA is one of the worst institutions in this regard, along with much of the Clinton Pentagon.  They cut the guts out of the CIAs DO and handcuffed them, then placed folks in positions of power in the DI, including this witch, who would give the Clinton spin to everything.  Bush has been hamstrung by a partisan minority in the Senate and kept from replacing the worst offenders.

This man and his wife should be very careful for the next couple of weeks.  If this story starts to lag or lose steam they may just be required to "commit Arkencide" to provide "legs" to the attacks.

It's got nothing to do with like or dislike. It's about giving creedence to lies.
You see how the media is all over this non-story?
It's getting talked about; it's giving them the airtime to further squawk their lies about intelligence and yellowcake etc etc. Their lies become truths in the minds of many by sheer repetition.
That's why sites like that and DU et al don't warrant the time of day.
Note I am talking about posting and quoting them. Keeping an eye on them is another matter.

"A senior administration official said two top White House officials called at least six Washington journalists and revealed the identity and occupation of Wilson’s wife....“Clearly, it was meant purely and simply for revenge,” the senior official said of the alleged leak."

Shermy has dibs on the thory that this "senior administration official" and the one who first ratted to Novak are one in the same. And George Tenet. The above statement is the guy's attempt at deflecting.

:)

Shermy - your speculation makes as much sense as anything else.

I'll admit - today pretty much put me over the top with regard to all the information coming in about Wilson and I can hardly keep up!

You've done some great research on this matter; my hat's off to you!

I did'n mean to infer "you" attacked his wife. But someone did!
The CIA, the DOJ and the White Hiuse Counsel ar taking these charges seriously, maybe we all should.

Dissagre with man, as I sometimes do, but attack the wife??? String 'em up!

Or maybe as an analyst on WMD she was not towing the line.
