Freeped, but a silly poll. THe choice "no, things are about to turn around is a joke. Things don't need turning around. We are winning!
I think it your votes would do better by rating the story as a 1 at the end of the article (would not recommend article).

I'm posting to you, Diogenesis, because otherwise I'd reply to myself, which always seems silly, but I want to say this:
Two years ago Rumsfeld was arguably the most popular man in America. Now, things are not going PERFECTLY in Iraq, but when in war do things even go well? Let's face it, in war, even when things are going well, people are getting killed. The best you can hope for in war is that more of "them" die than "you".
I'm getting really scared for my country. Even after 9/11 we seem to have no spine, no stomach, and no brains. I think if WW II happened today we'd throw FDR down the stairs in his wheelchair, and shout after him that he was a miserable failure.
We need to get some fortitude. Do you think we can purchase it from the Jihadis on the Pakistani black market?

Personally, I'd like to see John Ashcroft get the Nobel Peace Prize for his outstanding efforts over the past two years.
I won't be holding my breath.

Voted and rated the story. I think that this poll is really in trouble. Correct that if this poll is a true reflection of what normal people think, we are all in big trouble.

wheres the damn poll?

It is on the left you have to scroll down quite a bit though and I agree with the poster the question of the poll is stupid

Sorry. At the bottom of my screen, the word "done" appears. When I look on the left hand side of the article, there are items listed but no poll. Those items include: "Live Talk, Latest Stories and Special Features" Further down, " Just the ten of us: The Democratic candidates spent the debate beating up on Bush, and each other" Still, no poll is listed.

the Iraqi mess Only the liberal pundits and the demoRATs refer to IRAQ as a mess. What does that say about PMSNBC and Newsweak?
