Voting for Schwarzenegger may give is Hillary! At least two of Schwarzenegger's most important advisors are Hillary Backers. Richard Riordan backed Bill Clinton in '96 and told Rudy Giuliani in 2000 that he couldn't help his senate campaign because he was ``too close to the Clitons'' That is Schwarzenegger's closest political friend and chief issues advisor. Another big advisor to Schwarzenegger is Warren Buffet a big Hillary supporter. Schwarzenegger may endorse Hillary outright, or may back McCain to split Bush's vote.

Political families don't crossbreed easily. I suspect the Kennedys regard the clintons as too nouveau and crude for their taste.

There is every reason to believe that the dem leadership would like to finally and permanently rid itself of the clintons. (Susan Estrich and Bill Press are everywhere releasing "get them off the stage" trial balloons at the slightest whiff of either clinton.)

The internecine doings at the DNC are probably quite entertaining. I would be surprised if there weren't multiple coups in the works.

As for your hillary and mccain theories, there is no indication that Arnold is into sabotage... of self, Bush or otherwise.
