You hardly see class in tennis. Venus and Serena while they've revitalized the game, I do not think have much class in the court. Kournikova, not only revitalized the game but also men's sexual imaginations.

I guess high school tennis is not as different as sports like football. Problems I can think of are parents and their delusions of sports grandeur, general moral decline and sports scouts.

OKers.
What is extremely frustrating is that the good guys go before the bad guys.

I was just joking... it's like waving chocolate in front of a diabetic with Hillary Clinton jokes. Seriously, I think the reason why people like Hillary pop up in these threads is because good peopel DO seem to drop off faster. We are forever dealing with unsufferable, useful idiots after these jewels of America and the world at large are gone. IOW, we miss them because they added something valuable, something special.

I know.
Positive side of it is this: the good guys then don't have to deal with the bad guys anymore.

I pray that Chuck Yeager isn't next.

I also hope that Chuck Yeager is with us for some time to come, but I'm a little curious about your statement. Is the General in poor health?

Parents....
want their kid to play singles, not doubles (or vice versa)
want their kid to play more
want to schedule different opponents
want to coach during matches
want to make bad calls if it helps junior win...

and we wonder where the kids get it..

Actually Josephine Baker's talent was severely limited. Her success, mostly in France, was due to the "exotic" nature ofher act. Based on the archival evidence she would not make it too far today. This does not denigrate her achievements at all.

"What is extremely frustrating is that the good guys go before the bad guys."

oh, that is so true.....

when someone good dies,I always worry that the world won't be able to replace that good person....

instead, more bad people will be on Earth....

All too true.
Wish there was a way to keep the good guys around.
