Time to wake up, McClinton-tock
You ain't gonna win.
California will not elect you to office,
the only GOP candidate who has a chance
of winning in this state is Arnold.
Now go tell Hillary, you've snapped out of
your hypnosis, and you're not gonna be the stooge-man
to help her HOLD on to power in California for
the 2004 Presidential Election!

If McClintock had the 35% while Arnold had the 15%, you may have a point. But it's suicidal to blame this on Arnold, the leader should not have to yield his position.

McClintock is the most conservative, but the least qualified in the personal characteristics that are necessary to be an effective leader. This is why he will not get my vote.

Arnold would end up with more than 40%, and will not need McClintock's withdrawal from the race to win. It's Your2Cents, and I hope you're right..

Arnold Schwarzenneger as the everyman? What's next, John Kerry as the poor and oppressed?Yep. Next year, when he's playing catsup...
To: nickcarraway
Nick, just out of curiousity, do you have information on the size of the illegal vote in California last election? I've assumed that illegals are having a growing impact in California elections, and are probably the reason that the state continues to tip so far to the left. But I've never seen any good data or research on the question. Do you have anything you can share?

Forget it, AU. I've refuted "Reagan Man's" claim that Arnold is doing nothing to appeal to conservatives, and he still hammers away on the same lame argument.

Schwarzenegger is a good man, and will make an effective governor, no matter what picture the DNC tries to paint. Or whatever picture the "all or nothing" crowd tries to paint.

Spoken like a true leftist -- trying to read people's motives for the opinions they hold, and then holding them in judgment for your biased conclusions.
And just to make you happy, I've pinged our "chat club."

And what I've noticed here is that the people who bash Arnold, also bash Bush. And then they have the audacity to throw around the "RINO" label, when many of them aren't even "Republican In Name."

Welcome to our "chat club." Everyone welcome. Even the scorched earth crowd, as they begin to come to their senses. Come one, come all.
And see...............I've even put Nittany lion on here!

At this point, still a week out, I think half of McClintock's supporters will go into the voting both and vote for the frontrunner. McC may get 9% when half his current supporters decide they don't want to throw away their votes. But even if he retains his 15-18%, it looks like it will be irrelevant to an eventual Arnold win.
This week's polls will be key, because all of the polling organizations that use early polls to create public opinion, rather than report public opinion, will need to start reporting accurate measurements of public opinion in order to save their own reputations. I think this CNN poll is the first indication that they're coming around to doing accurate surveys.

Of course, the only "wild card" here is voter fraud, which certainly should not be ruled out. Never forget the ballot boxes floating in the SF Bay! Never did hear much more about that, did we?

Right on ALL accounts, My2. There are RINOS and CINOS here, who revel in calling everyone else that. They are the worst " bashers " too. Makes one wonder just WHY they're here at all.
To: My2Cents; deport
I've been checking gallup to see if they had a more in-depth analysis up yet, but I don't see anything.
To: buzzyboop
Although I like McClintock, Arnold gives the best chance for victory. Read my other posts. I've said the very same things you said. Whoops! Sorry... friendly fire incident.
