I've had the %42 final hunch for a while now. I also think Bustamante right around 30.
What do you expect McClintock's final will be?
To: redlipstick
At the risk of much ire, my prediction is
Arnold - - - - 42% maybe even higher, given the CNN poll
McClintock - 15%
Busty - - - - - 30% if he's lucky

That's just about as I see it.
Well, we'll know soon if we're right.
To: redlipstick
By the way, where did you post the CNN/Gallup poll (other than right here)?

I'll ping you to it.

Good Post.
I cannot undertsand the position of arguing Ahnold a RINO so I cannot support him and allow some conservative values in Cally Fonia while at the same time defending "W" who is also a RINO.

No Arnold poll was leaked thursday.
Again no poll has ever shown McClintock drop.
The latest poll was the CNN poll
which showed Arnold drop form 45 to 40%
and McClintock rise form 6% to 18%
To: Reagan Man
Arnie's campaign does nothing to advance the conservative agenda and the GOP platform. They want their pyrrhic victory.

McClintock continues to rise in all polls
I expect he will peak on election day.
That does not mean Arnold will not win
Cruz is so weak Cruz may finish third.
Which really goes to show if you conservatives
who back Arnold would back McClintock
we could have a conservative Republican
governor. Not to late to switch!
To: Kath
I esp. think Cruz may finish third because looks
like Davis is putting the knife in his back
now and looks like Democrats are ready to
now go all or nothing on Davis.
So a Cruz victory looks like it is out of the picture.

Arnold Schwarzenneger as the everyman? What's next, John Kerry as the poor and oppressed?

Their highest priority seems to be to keep a conservative out of office.

Sorry, you have this twisted. If all of you who say "McClintock is the best Candidate, but can't win", would have VOTED for HIM , he would come out on top!!! You will have to accept a Bustamonte win as YOUR FAULT and no one else!!!! Not to mention , it will be the beginning of the end of the Republican Party as you have known it. Expect a MASS EXODUS!!!!! Just who has this twisted? The supporters of Arnold, at DOUBLE McClintock's support? You are playing right into the hands of the left pollywog, and I feel sorry for you. It sounds like an early case of sour grapes. Vote for Arnold, get something. You keep on your path, and California is lost for another generation.

I think you have it backwards United. Although I like McClintock, Arnold gives the best chance for victory. Read my other posts. I've said the very same things you said.

More sour grapes. And if he loses? California is lost for another generation. Hang onto your ideals, admirable, but politically suicidal.

The question I can't seem to get an answer to: If McClintock withdrew (he won't, but if he did) and then an "October surprise" made Arnold electorally radioactive, who would then be "responsible" for "electing" Bustamante? Then it wouldn't matter. Those votes won't transfer automatically from Arnold to McClintock. They won't transfer at all. Arnold seems like his Terminator character in that, although he's felt some of what surprises have come out, he's healed himself and is back on track. The Dummycraps see this too. All they fired so far is blanks, no reason it won't stay that way.

I predicted earlier that Arnold would end up with more than 40%, and will not need McClintock's withdrawal from the race to win.

Check out the comments from another thread that illustrate my point that most liberals are more pragmatic. From the thread
Calif. recall holds dilemma for liberals "I had to play it safe because a lesser bad is better than Arnold," said Chris Wetzel, a registered Green and a sociology student at the University of California, Berkeley, who reluctantly cast his absentee ballot against the recall but for Bustamante.
McClintock supporters will hari-kari on their ideals. Half a loaf... you know...

Have you noticed that the man who hates taxes (Arnie) is already calling for a tax increase on the Indians? Shades of things to come. Only a 25% tax on gaming proceeds...
