It could really happen. The Cubs have Mark Prior and Kerry Wood. Think Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling leading the D-Backs to victory two years ago, only a lot younger. As for the Red Sox, we have Pedro, but I wish we had someone as good as Prior or Wood as a #2 :-( . But we DO have a fantastic offense. In '99 we made it to the ALCS with basically Pedro, Nomar and a .500 team. Who knows what we can do with Pedro, Nomar, Manny, and 6 other guys with 80+ RBIs?

Oh stop. :)
Do you realize that after decades of failure, CUB fans still rally for victory? Loyalty is our middle name.
Actually more like our first.

"What about Jimmy Qualls? Wow. Good knowledge. He broke up Seavers perfect game.
Thanks, but Qualls really isn't that hard to forget as you point out.
My dad took me to that game at Shea. He cut and saved a whole bunch of borden milk container coupons from the back of those containers and we circled that Cub game on the schedule and sent in the coupons and got the tickets.
I wasn't a Met fan, but my dad drove all the way home after the game in our two-tone 56 Chevy station wagon without saying a word.
Yes, I remember Jim Qualls.

also our last.

GOD SMILES ON WRIGLEY FIELD.
Go Cubs fans go. Run up your emotions to a fever pitch but you'll say before the World Series "oh well, there's next year".
Is there an incognito bookie on this thread?
