Did you read about the possible near future reunion with the Moscow Patriarchite and the ROCOR?

5 things that will need be done to re-unionize.

1) The dropping of teh hated Filioque Clause. The Orthodox will never compromise on it and find it disgusting beyond words.

2) The Pope must resume his post as first among equals (resumtion of that post means he loses his infalibility-infalibility then goes to the rulings of ecumenical councils)

3) Limited marriage for clergy and limited divorce as per Orthodox doctrine.

4) The Orthodox do not like 3D images for worship-but they can be pursuaded if so moved by an ecumenical council ruling.

5) The Orthodox practice full immersion baptisim and leavened communal bread. I do not know if the Catholic practice of pouring and unleavened bread is acceptable or not. An ecumenical council can decide on that as well.

Even with that I do not think the Orthodox would easily accept as Saints those of teh Catholics that came about after the schisim. But that can also be worked out.
