You are either a slimeball telemarketer or an off the wall kook.

Thank you for the revealing words.

You are obviously one that believes right and wrong are determined by the number of people who believe or want something. So long as you have the bigger gang, it is perfectly alright to use that force to make others pay for a convenience you could very well take care of yourself. It is not surprising, as I said earlier, this is exactly the kind of thinking one expects from those for whom the word morality only means, whatever they can get away with.

"So long as you have the bigger gang.."

Well, your side has always had the higher-priced lawyers to generate the sophistry required to turn black into white.

These motherless telemarketing SOB's that you defend should be driven into the sea by an aroused populace.

Their noxious fumes offend me - I don't want to have to fend them off at all - they can bloody well stop emitting them!

You need to look back thru time:

The Telecommunications Act of 1992 established a number of consumer protections, most notably, those on "slamming". It also established that telemarketers had a right to call but consumers had a right to have their name/number put on a do not call list.

Although a few telemarketers did go to the time and expense of estabishing, maintaining and honoring such a list, the law was essentially ignored by the industry. The industry was also arrogant in their refusal.

They had 11 years to conform. So when you hear the telemarketing companies talk about the economic dislocation that the the list will cause remember that they had 11 years to gradually change.

99% of telemarketers are outlaws.
