"They should have deported the whole friggin bus!

With a bit of forethought, the busses should be stopped again in some other city down the line, and the occupants rushed to an airport and put on a plane to Mexico. Then let's see who can produce ID's to get back in. If the genuine American citizens among them can't make it back across the border,no great loss.

They just let 'em go.

Can't upset the Hispanic voters, after all.

This is not my post, I stole it. Sorry I stripped out the headers when I saved it, but it outlines the problem very well.

The problem is not illegation immigration per se.

Repeat: The problem is not illegation immigration PER SE!

The problem is also not necessarily one of cost, although California's current budget woes highlight the cost of caring and feeding for the prolific breeding capabilities of these aliens.

What is the real problem?

The real problem is the displacement of an advanced American culture made possible by the U.S. Constitution in favor of a poorer culture with no viable means of generating wealth. In short, the problem is a cultural displacement.

We have to ask ourselves what is there to be gained in allowing American values to be displaced?

If the illegals COULD BE assimilated, then the question would be moot.

AND that is where Arnold is wrong. The illegals because of their vast number cannot and do not want to be assimilated. Because of the ingrained Cesar Chavez socialistic leftist political control, the illegals are told how to vote and what to think.

Simply put, illegals know there is political power in numbers. AND being illegal is not an impediment to voting. For an uneducated third world person to hop the border knowing it is illegal to do so, that person would not think twice about registering to vote and voting for who they are told to vote for.

The problem of a lack of truth and honesty can be curtailed by the process of assimilation, through the exposure and acceptance of Judeo-Christian mores. But assimilation is no longer a process that works, and faith in God appears to be banned in any government action or proposal.

And of course, there is the problem of National Security being compromised by failing to control illegal immigration. But Senator McCain has the idea that carding and counting the illegals that are here would make the nation more secure. It will take an enormous effort to track 10 million illegal residents. And there will be no hesitency among them to bring other illegals in to live within the new "legitimacy", just as they do now.

Unfortunately, deportation is the answer. It is unfortunate because it is harsh. No one wants to send people back to a harsher land. And they may not be accepted there, just as Mexico will not take back its impoverished class that has managed to get across the border. But the legal residents of America can only handle so much before they are displaced by a population of poverty.

"What chance do citizens have when the government won't enforce the laws or do the jobs the taxpayers are ripped off to pay them for?"

Somewhere between zero and nada.

I can't Imagine line agents just letting those illegals go. They were probably ordered to let the illegals go by either the station PAIC or Sector Chief.

" I would have deported every damn one of them UNLESS they could PROVE CITIZENSHIP! "

Chilling words.

YOUR PAPERS PLEASE!

I don't normally carry proof of my US Citizenship on me when I am out and about. I guess that I ought to carry my US Passport from now on, since other than my driver's licence and my retired Military ID, the only other thing that comes close to showing citizenship in my wallet is my Canadian certificate of citizenship (dual citizen).

Who knows, I might, if your wish comes true, find myself on a bus up north some day for not having the proper papers on me.

(Don't get me wrong, as a New Mexican, I fully understand the problems of illegal immigration. However, I am not so sure that the rest of us need to carry proof of US citizenship on us at all times to solve the problem.)
