This is important... they made a political calculation to cut Jesus loose to save their own skins.If the majority was still for him, they would have stopped it. Not even his disciples followed him because they didn't get it yet.
The same is true for CA voters. They don't get it yet.

They didn't stop it because they couldn't fight Rome and the life of Israel wasn't worth the life of one man. Once He was in the hands of Rome, His fate was sealed. The common man wasn't invited to the deliberations, just the leaders.
