I'd have to support Rudy if he ran against Hillary, but he better never be on either side of a GOP presidential ticket.

This is the 2008 presidential race. You say rudy is liberal, but what official actions has he ever taken that was liberal ? He took on the public labor unions, reduced street crime, put honesty in NYC govt., was friendly to business, held the line on taxes. Except for being pro choice, exactly what are his other liberal qualifications ?

He supports New York City's draconian laws that prevent people from owning handguns.

As a mere mayor, he had little opportunity to take the constitution-damaging actions somebody like a president could take.

Rudy is rabidly anti-gun. Rabidly. He believes only law enforcement should own guns.

He is also rabidly pro-abortion. He believes that the decision is entirely up to the woman and the fetus has no rights. I doubt he would ever nominate any SC justices who felt otherwise.

He was a GREAT mayor of NYC, where those positions don’t really matter all that much. And he’d be a much better Senator than Hillary or Schumer (obviously) so I’d support him in either of those races.

But I will not vote for a Republican ticket with him in either the Presidential or Veep spot. He would be a great danger in either of those offices.

You're right. Although Rudy is more liberal on social issues, he's always been supportive of conservative candidates and a loyal Republican who fights for Republican issues for the most part. I know many conservatives like to slam Rudy as liberal, etc. but to me he's always been a great Republican and doesn't go to war with his own party.
