The Broncos were fined $25,000 for wearing white uniforms Sept. 14 against San Diego, even though Denver had agreed beforehand to wear dark uniforms

First the Lions get fined for not interviewing African Americans for the coaching job, and now the Broncos get fined for wearing white uniforms. I don't care much for Jesse Jackson, but I have to admit that his tactics are effective.

Boy, THERE'S a non sequitur if ever I saw one. The fine for wearing the white uniforms doesn't have anything to do with race. The Broncs SAID they would wear the blue uniforms but when they arrived in SD, all they had with them were the white (HOME) uniforms. That forced the Chargers to wear their dark (AWAY) uniforms. It is said that Shanahan had the equipment manager ship only the white so as to force the Chargers to wear the heat-absorbing dark uniforms and thereby gain a competitive advantage in the scorching sun.

The Broncos also played with their uniforms on Monday night, showing up for warmups with the dark jerseys and white pantalones. But for the game, they changed from the white to BLUE panalones. Anything to kick the Raidahs off-stride. And it worked. The Raidahs looked like gumps the whole game.
