TEDDY'S DOING: The Grove and Academe (lib schools get tax-money, defy Feds)

Liberal law schools want to defy federal policy while taking federal money.

Don't ask, don't tell. That's the policy toward homosexuals, instituted during the Clinton administration, that has made the U.S. military unwelcome on many of our nation's campuses. It's also behind a federal lawsuit just filed against the Defense Department by an organization of law schools and legal scholars. The organization says that don't-ask-don't-tell conflicts with the antidiscrimination codes on most campuses and that these campuses should thus be able to keep military recruiters out.

In other words, when this Christian David lost to the federal Goliath, it decided that its principles were worth more than the federal money. Do any of the schools and professors now arguing for their right to discriminate against the military have the integrity to do the same?

This is not a multiple choice question (/sarcasm).

I have been worried about a related subject, vouchers, for just this reason. About a year ago, there was some talk in this state about allowing vouchers.

At that time, I told my wife we need to fight allowing any vouchers at our sons private Christian school.

I would warn other parents to consider this dangerous possibility. If you send your children to a religious school, and want to avoid having the school forced to conform to what the government considers appropriate, homosexuality is ok, graphic sex ed. America was founded by evil racists, the Bible is hate speech, then don't allow vouchers!!

For proof of that last, read this Coulter review of David Limbaugh's new book "Persecution How Liberals are waging war against Christianity". Public school employees have disciplined and expelled students for praying and one teacher threw the childrens' Bibles in the trash calling them garbage.
While the government would still allow a superficial appearance of Christianity they, in conjunction with the corrupted mainstream church would emphasize "diversity" over belief, "tolerance" over obeying the word of God.

Vouchers are fine for public school students sent to a secular private school, since most secular private schools are already solidly on board with the leftist agenda.

Private Christian schools need to stay free of ANY government supplied money. I know a lot of people will say this is different, but I guarantee that the evil leftist totalitarians WILL find some illegal back door way to circumvent the proper teachings to force our children to be indoctrinated with their lies.

I also worry that the school administration would strongly support vouchers for altruistic reasons to allow low income students a chance to attend school.
Our school already has a program where those of us who are more fortunate can donate money to a fund to help low income children attend, and I think that is how it should remain, independent of government attachment.
