Senior U.S. official: Israel promised to consult U.S. before deciding to expel Arafat from the Palestinian territories (Reuters)
Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom, promised the American Secretary of State Colin Powell, who he met yesterday, that Israel will consult the US (as the US would like) before it decides to expel the PA Chairman Yasser Arafat - this said by a senior American official.
