Silver Star...said to have been seriously wounded and fought fiercely even while wounded protecting his guys...
Then again Hack is probably the most decorated Veteran for valor in the USA today..
Its a shame when good men go dinky dau...and still believe they are rational.....
As Gen Shelton said about Clark...he had character issues....problems with the truth...

I can bet this was leaked by the one of the 9 dwarves. The timing is suspect. Dean, Kerry (et all) needed to stop Clark's momentum and it wasn't too hard to dig this information up. I hope they keep slinging bows and arrows at each other.

Rush today said the 9 dwarves needed to take the gloves off and I think they finally did. You knew it was coming.

"And I'm very glad we've got the great team in office, men like Colin Powell, Don Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, Paul O'Neill - people I know very well - our president George W. Bush. We need them there."

"All is well - and all will be well - in the garden."

Rove is likely already cutting video tape for the commericals. Then again so are Kerry's and Dean's managers.

All this is just manufactured factionalism to look like there are differences, perhaps?

BTM Wesley's Leadership for America Web site www.leadershipforamerica.org has been decommissioned as of September 23, 2003.

Here is some history I was unaware under "Meet our Founder":

Remember Bill and Hillary's Dixie mafia connections to Stephens?

ROFL

Drudge has 4 pics of Wes up now and the story broken into 3 columns.

Clark praised Reagan for improving the military:

'We were really helped when President Ronald Reagan came in. I remember non-commissioned officers who were going to retire and they re-enlisted because they believed in President Reagan'...

Clark continued: 'That's the kind of President Ronald Reagan was. He helped our country win the Cold War. He put it behind us in a way no one ever believed would be possible. He was truly a great American leader. And those of us in the Armed Forces loved him, respected him, and tremendously admired him for his great leadership'...

Clark on President George Bush: 'President George Bush had the courage and the vision... and we will always be grateful to President George Bush for that tremendous leadership and statesmanship'...

'And I'm very glad we've got the great team in office, men like Colin Powell, Don Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice... people I know very well - our president George W. Bush. We need them there'...

The story of Rove not wanting anything to do with Clark, insulates the Bush Adm. of any Rat spin. I guess the Clinton advisors will be scrambling for a job. If the Clintons got blind sided they are now in war room mode!!

General Clark was accurate in his comment. I put off retirement for a couple of years, until I was forced by federal law to do so, because Pres. Reagan delivered a great deal of renewed enthusiasm to the active force. No one could reasonably argue otherwise. Those who hang a 'hickie" on Pres. Reagan do so directed to his domestic and economic policies.

I recall that the unit I commanded ceased having supply and re-supply problems and the need to cannibalize aircraft for parts became much less prevalent. When attention is paid to an identifiable institution like the DOD and its fielded forces it is inevitable that the morale improves and personnel issues become less formidable.

I don't recall from his book precisely what unit General Clark commanded or was associated with during the middle Reagan years, that might have been the period of his higher level professional military education emphasis. But where ever he was in the upward progression that marked his brilliant career, he benefited from the Reagan years just like the rest of us. He would be less than candid if he had not acknowledged that fact, and, General Clark's trait of candor is unchallengeable. I know there are some out there who would disagree with that comment but they are wrong.

General Wesley Clark offered lavish praise for the Bush
Administration..

Hold on Clark, we know what you're up to....if you think you're gonna lure us in your corner with lies, sorry you're
a bit late, Clinton tried the same deception on us and it didn't work....

I think you're right. Neal Boortz, whom I listen to very little, put this pretty succinctly when he said that Clark's job is twofold---take the momentum away from Dean, and don't get too powerful himself. I think that's about right. Certainly he doesn't have to worry about the latter, and it does appear he has thrown off Dean.

But the fascinating thing is that the "no-enemies-on-the-left" mantra of the Dems keeps EVEN DEAN from responding to this direct assault on him by the Clintons! How long will he put up with it?

Well .. I think it will split the democrat party (because there is a whole host of them who don't like the path Dean is taking) - and even if Hillary gets in - the President will still win.
